We’re pleased to share that we have successfully assisted one of AlphaNovel’s authors, Jessica Hall, in removing illegal copies of her novels from several platforms⭐ In this blog post, we will provide details of this case.
What happened to Jessica Hall
Popular author Jessica Hall has hundreds of thousands of readers on AlphaNovel. However, the more readers she gets, the more people try to steal and access her work for free.
Piracy websites typically make money by displaying ads to visitors, so they are motivated to source and distribute paywalled content for free. A few websites, such as Novel Worm and AllFreeNovel, followed this strategy and unlawfully copied and published Jessica’s work for free. Unfortunately, Jessica’s efforts to reach out to those platforms yielded no results.
How AlphaNovel helped to remove illegally published novels
AlphaNovel’s compliance team is constantly monitoring instances of copyright infringement. As a part of this effort, we are actively combating pirate websites that illicitly distribute books by our authors. Jessica Hall has sent us a comprehensive list of websites that have unlawfully distributed her books, and we have taken measures to have the pirated content removed.
Our team has sent cease-and-desist letters to all the platforms that have plagiarized Jessica’s books, published on AlphaNovel. This process is challenging and often does not result in 100% success. Some platforms respond promptly, while others take no action until legal measures are mentioned.
The process is not finished yet, but we have already managed to remove Jessica’s works from two websites that were sharing her novels for free🔥 We will continue to fight until all the illegally published novels are deleted.
